Hot sticky day to mark the start of fall.....

So I had the day off, and I shoulda chose a cooler, less humid day.  I went through all of my old winter clothes and brought them out of their boxes and also looked for my power inverter.   I went through every single box, which is about 20 or 30.... and for the life of me, I could not find the power inverter.... just a small box about the size of a small puzzle box and bright red, but nothing........

Anyways, got pretty hot getting all the boxes out and hanging up all the winter coats and hoodies... and it occurred to me, why do we all keep so much "stuff"   Maybe it is just me, but there are so many things that i forgot about that I uncovered by going through the boxes.   I am also an audio fanatic, and I uncovered so many microphones, headphones, wires, amplifiers, and anything else that has wires coming from or going to it.  As a matter of fact, three of the boxes alone contain all of the wires, etc.  Now to be honest, I haven't used about 90% of them in the last year, but you never know when you might need one of them.....

I then thought about other people I know, and thought about how each of us has a certain underlying hobby we have.  Apart from my obvious, weather, mine would be audio tech.... even though I have never thought about using it for a job or career(just love the weather too much).  I started to think about other peoples hobbies, such as collecting Longaberger baskets, salt and pepper shakers, movies, puzzles, etc.  The funny part of it is, if someone would ask me about myself, and had to describe myself in one sentence, I would never incorporate that in the sentence.  Just thought it was interesting....

So the cool blast looks to still be on its way for next week, another reason I unpacked the winter clothes.  I always keep an eye on the long term models a little more than usual in the fall months because you get those cold snaps of air, that bring down such a change of temperatures and normally will help induce some severe weather, which I love.... Honestly I cant tell you how many funnels I have seen, too many to count on my fingers, but still no tornado to touch down.... waiting for the day.  If only I wasn't at church the night of Nov 22, 1992 I could have seen the Arcanum tornado.  It passed a very short distance from my house in the middle of southern Darke County, but we were putting up the Christmas decorations at church.  The electricity still went out in New Madison and I got a week off from school, but still haven't seen one with my own two eyes....   trust me, when I do, I will def let you know!!

94 days left for the best part of the year!!

Best,
Andrew Buck Michael
