Parts of the Deep South have been hammered with severe weather today, especially the community of Yazoo City, Mississippi which was hit with a 3/4 mile wide tornado. We will be watching that entire storm complex move our way for tonight, but we will not be seeing as great of a set-up for severe weather. Needless to say, we could see severe winds as our main threat and hail will be on the back-burner for tonight. There is also a very slight risk for a brief spin-up of a tornado. I will be in the weather center all night, so keep tuned with us via the internet(twitter and our website), your mobile devices, and also on-air if anything big breaks. Time to get ready for the show and monitor any developments, have a good one!
Best,
Andrew Buck Michael
