I was invited to talk at Woodland Primary School last night in Greenville. It was not a normal school visit for me. Instead it was a Science Family Fun Night. There were seven stations set up and the kids would move from station to station. It was a lot of fun, but I think I was the only one that did not have something explode or spew. Instead I used hot water and blue ice cubes to make cold fronts, had a few tornado demonstrations and talked about weather safety. Dawn came along with me and I told all of the kids I brought my wife because I needed an assistant. She never gets to see my school talks because she is working and considering I had to do my experiment several times I actually did need some help. We stopped by an old favorite restaurant afterward, CJ's Highmarks. Their cheesy chicken soup is AMAZING.
Well yesterday afternoon turned out awesome, highs around 60 with not a cloud in the sky. Today we could see a few high clouds with highs in the mid 60's. A few late day showers tomorrow will keep us a little cooler, but then we dry out and slowly warm back into the 60's for the end of the week and weekend. We will see mostly sunny skies and it looks like the rain will hold off until the start of next workweek. No complaints here. It looks like the moped rally in Kentucky this weekend will have fantastic weather, score! Have a good one!
Best,
Andrew Buck Michael
