Have I mentioned that I love my job? The station is having a Fan Drive July 30th, to help donate fans to those who need it. So today we decided to promote that and have a dunk tank on the morning show. So dunk the weatherman, if you donate a fan. Bounce Houses Ohio also brought along a huge water slide that was amazing!
I was happy to take on the task today, especially after the task yesterday. So Thursday I rode a bike for 50 minutes and see how much water weight I lost. I sweat out over five pounds in the 50 minutes... ridiculous. It just goes to show how much water you need to drink if you are outside doing any strenuous activities in this heat(and I did the experiment between 9AM and 10AM when it was still "cool"). Apparently Good Morning America called the station and asked to get video for them to use today. I didn't get to watch since I was working.
The good news is that today is the end of the heatwave. It will be the sixth 90°+ day in a row. Tomorrow a cold front will push through bringing a decent chance for showers and slight chance for severe storms for the late morning and early afternoon. Sunday we dry out and cool off a little, but the warm weather returns next week with isolated afternoon showers once again. Enjoy the weekend and stay cool today! Have a good one!
