Woke up early to play some disc golf with a good friend of mine today. Second Sunday in a row and still haven't kept score, but I bet it would be close. I also took off the front fairing to see how much different my bike rides. The fairing was throwing all the wind at my helmet and it was LOUD!
Love hitting the course at the break of dawn. All nice and open... and peaceful.
No disc golf the next couple of days. Or at least not without the chance of rain.
Central Ohio is in the Marginal Risk for severe weather Monday. Meaning isolated severe storms are possible, but not likely to be widespread. Rain will be on its way out Tuesday then a few dry days. Right now the late-week rain looks to be late Friday night into early Saturday, but the models are not quite agreeing on the time, so be sure to check back in through the week.
The good news is that most of the clouds should clear out in time for the peak of one of the best meteor showers of the year. Happy viewing and have a good one!
Best,
Andrew Buck Michael
UPDATE - I mentioned in my last blog entry about the unOHfficials moped rally that was held this weekend. I stopped by for a couple hours, but they are all getting home now and posting photos and updates. A few minor accidents (sounds like loose gravel) with a few people getting some nasty road rash... but they all said they had a blast. They stayed at a campground near Pataskala and then rode into town on Saturday for a 50+ mile ride.
They had quite the turn-out! I hope to take part fully next year since I will be Monday-Friday starting in two weeks.
One other shot I found of me on my bike helping to block the traffic to keep the herd of bikes together and moving. Already getting excited for next year's rally. Have a good one!
